The niche: Tech, Manufacturing, International Women's Day 2022, Pulse Article

The brief: To promote a new video series, set to launch on International Women's Day 2022.

The series showcases the role of women in manufacturing and aims to shine a spotlight on the exciting developments in the manufacturing world.

My role involved:
  • Naming the video series
  • Creating an article promoting the video
  • Writing a script for the video trailer
  • Watching the existing video to decide what made the final cut
  • Creating copy for use on Microsoft's LinkedIn
The result: In spite of a very tight deadline, I came up with the name "Manufacturing the Future", created copy for the promotional article and completed any edits in just a week.  Microsoft unleashed the first in their empowering video series according to plan.

For the second video in the series, I was asked to:
  • Create an article promoting the video
  • Write a script for the video trailer
  • Watch the existing video to decide what made the final cut
  • Create copy for use on Microsoft's LinkedIn

Manufacturing the Future - Part Three



I was delighted to be asked back to create the copy for the third video in the Manufacturing the Future series.  

This time, I:
  • Scripted the subtitles
  • Selected what should be included in the main video
  • Scripted the trailer
  • Wrote the Pulse article
  • Created copy for use on Microsoft's LinkedIn
For this article, I wanted to create a new kind of intro - a really attention-grabbing one.  So, I opted to use a quote from the video as the very first line of the article - something we hadn't done before.
